Explore Morocco's coast. Essaouira, Taghazout, surfing, coastal hiking. Expert guides, authentic experiences, year-round.
Morocco's Atlantic coast stretches 2,700 kilometres from Tangier to the edge of the Sahara, encompassing UNESCO-listed port cities, world-class surf breaks, wild coastal hiking paths, and fishing harbours where the boats still go out before dawn. The coast is one of Morocco's most underrated destinations — wind-scoured, silver-lit, and a complete change of pace from the intensity of the inland medinas and mountains.
Essaouira is the jewel of the Atlantic coast: a fortified Portuguese-built port city with a UNESCO medina, world-famous constant Atlantic winds, an extraordinary creative and musical heritage (the Gnawa Music Festival in June draws global audiences), and some of the freshest seafood in Morocco.
Further south, Taghazout has become Morocco's surf capital — a small fishing village with consistent point breaks at Anchor Point and Hash Point that draw European surfers seeking uncrowded Atlantic waves and a bohemian village atmosphere.
Our coastal tours combine the best of both: city and culture at Essaouira, surf and yoga at Taghazout, and coastal hiking connecting the two.
