The road between Ouarzazate and the gorges is lined with earthen kasbahs, each a fortress of mud-brick towers rising from palm groves and rose fields. This four-day tour follows that route at a relaxed pace.
You visit the great ksar of Aït Ben Haddou, the film studios of Ouarzazate, and the dramatic Dades and Todra gorges, with time to walk, photograph and meet local families. Comfortable hotels and kasbah guesthouses provide the nights.

October–April for comfortable desert days; spring and autumn are ideal. Warm sunny days and cold, star-filled nights; summer midday heat can exceed 40°C. Spring and autumn are the busiest and most beautiful; book early for these months. Summer is quieter inland due to heat, winter quieter on the coast.
