Morocco Extreme Hiking Challenge 5-Day

Destinations: Imlil, Mount Toubkal · Duration: 5 days · Difficulty: Challenging · Group size: Up to 8

For hikers who want a serious challenge, this five-day traverse strings together the finest and most demanding terrain in the High Atlas. You cross a series of high passes, camp and stay in mountain refuges, and finish with the dawn summit of Mount Toubkal at 4,167 metres.

Certified mountain guides, a support team and careful acclimatisation make the challenge achievable for fit, determined walkers. Each day rewards hard effort with vast summit panoramas, remote Berber villages and the deep satisfaction of moving through big mountains under your own power.

This 5 days journey is led by licensed local guides who grew up in High Atlas, giving you privileged access to a Berber gateway village at 1,740m where mule tracks still link mountain hamlets alongside honest, unhurried travel. Every detail — comfortable private transport, hand-picked accommodation and authentic meals — is arranged so you can simply relax and take it in.

It is perfect for active travellers and keen hikers who want a genuine, well-run experience rather than a rushed coach tour. Small groups, transparent pricing and flexible planning mean the trip flexes around you.
