You cross the Atlas via Aït Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate, then follow the Draa Valley’s endless palm groves to Zagora. A sunset camel trek leads to a desert camp for dinner and music beneath the stars.

October–April for comfortable desert days; spring and autumn are ideal. Warm sunny days and cold, star-filled nights; summer midday heat can exceed 40°C. Spring and autumn are the busiest and most beautiful; book early for these months. Summer is quieter inland due to heat, winter quieter on the coast.
