Destinations: Imlil, Ourika Valley · Duration: 3 days · Difficulty: Challenging · Group size: Up to 8
Few travellers realise the High Atlas becomes a snow-covered wonderland each winter, its peaks and valleys transformed into a crisp white landscape under brilliant blue skies. This three-day winter trek takes you into that world with a certified mountain guide, using crampons and poles to cross snowy passes and ridgelines.
The days are invigorating and the scenery spectacular, while nights are spent warming up by the fire in traditional Berber guesthouses. It is a genuine winter mountain adventure for fit walkers, offering solitude, sparkling snow and a completely different side of Morocco.
This 3 days journey is led by licensed local guides who grew up in High Atlas, giving you privileged access to a Berber gateway village at 1,740m where mule tracks still link mountain hamlets alongside honest, unhurried travel. Every detail — comfortable private transport, hand-picked accommodation and authentic meals — is arranged so you can simply relax and take it in.
It is perfect for active travellers and keen hikers who want a genuine, well-run experience rather than a rushed coach tour. Small groups, transparent pricing and flexible planning mean the trip flexes around you.
