The High Atlas is a mountain biker’s playground of natural singletrack, ancient mule paths and long, flowing descents. This three-day tour is built for confident riders who want technical terrain and big vertical drops.

With a skilled ride leader and full-suspension bikes, you will link the best trails between villages, with vehicle uplifts to maximise descending. Nights are spent in comfortable guesthouses with hearty food to refuel.

Expect rocky, rooty and exposed sections — this is a trip for experienced off-road riders.

Bike fitting and briefing, then rolling singletrack to a first guesthouse.

Frequently asked questions

Is hotel pickup and drop-off included?

Yes. We collect you directly from your hotel or riad and return you there at the end of the tour. For accommodation outside the central pickup zone we agree a convenient nearby point in advance.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable, though we will always try to reschedule where possible.

Can the tour be adapted for dietary needs?

Absolutely. Let us know about vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or allergy requirements when booking and we will arrange suitable meals throughout.

Are the guides English-speaking?

Yes. Our guides speak fluent English, and French, Arabic and Berber are also available. Other languages can be arranged on request.

Is this tour suitable for families with children?

What is the route for the Atlas Mountains Mountain Bike Tour 3-Day?

Marrakech to Ourika Valley · Ourika Valley to Imlil. Roads are paved mountain roads with hairpin bends up to the trailhead, and we build in regular photo and comfort stops so the journey is part of the experience. Exact drive times depend on your route and pace and are confirmed with your booking.

What kind of accommodation is included and can I upgrade?

You stay in Mountain refuge / Berber gite. Rooms are private with en-suite bathrooms unless noted. Upgrades to higher-category riads, hotels or luxury camps are available — just ask when booking.

Which meals are included?

Day 1: breakfast not included, lunch included, dinner included; Day 2: breakfast included, lunch included, dinner included; Day 3: breakfast included, lunch flexible, dinner not included. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options are available on request — tell us your needs when booking. All meat served is halal.

Do I need mountaineering experience or worry about altitude?

No technical climbing is involved, but a good level of fitness helps. The itinerary is paced to aid acclimatisation, your guide monitors everyone closely, and we descend at the first sign of altitude sickness. Stay hydrated, walk slowly and you will do well.

Can I rent a bike or bring my own, and are e-bikes available?

Quality bikes are included and fitted to you; e-bikes are available to make climbs effortless. You are welcome to bring your own pedals, saddle or bike. A support vehicle follows with water, snacks and spares.

Is this tour suitable for children and families?

Recommended for ages 12+; no technical climbing experience needed We can adapt the pace, provide car seats and suggest the most family-friendly options — just let us know your group when booking.

What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?

Cancellations made more than 30 days before departure receive a full refund of the balance paid. Between 30 and 14 days, 50% is refundable. Within 14 days the deposit is non-refundable. We recommend comprehensive travel insurance, and we always try to reschedule free of charge for genuine emergencies. Exact terms are confirmed with your booking.
