It is a great short add-on to a Marrakech stay, especially for travellers who want a quieter, more authentic southern-Morocco taste.
Day 1 — Marrakech to Taroudant via the Tizi n'Test
Leave Marrakech and climb the Tizi n'Test pass, one of Morocco's most scenic mountain roads, with sweeping views over the Souss plain. Descend to Taroudant and settle into a riad inside the walls. An evening walk on the ramparts as the sun sets over the town.
Day 2 — Taroudant Souks & Argan Country
A full day in Taroudant — explore the souks (leather, spices, silver) and the two main squares by horse-drawn carriage, and visit the nearby argan country where Berber women press argan oil by hand. A relaxed, authentic day far from the tourist trail. Return to Marrakech, or continue to Agadir or Tafraoute.
